National Sangria Day may not be until December, but summer is the perfect time to be sipping on a
cool, refreshing glass of this fruity adult drink. Hot nights and good friends are what this drink is all about! Here is a recipe from the folks at Betty Crocker that would make a delicious addition to your summertime entertaining.
RASPBERRY PEACH ROSE SANGRIA
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups peeled fresh peach slices (2 large)
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 3 tablespoons orange liqueur or brandy
- 1 bottle (750 ml) rosè wine, chilled
- 2 to 4 tablespoons simple syrup
- Orange or lemon slices, if desired
- Chilled sparkling water, if desired
In large pitcher, mix peach slices and raspberries. Stir in orange juice, liqueur, wine and simple syrup. Cover; refrigerate 2 to 4 hours to allow flavors to blend. Pour into 6 glasses. Garnish with slices and a splash of sparkling water.
